In conjunction with the Gordon West book, these CDs might be a helpful reminder/re-enforcer of material covered in the text. I find the ARRL manual, which I used, to be reasonably well organized, and these CDs do little to augment that. If you want to understand the concepts you can skip these, use the ARRL book. If you need to memorize the material, these may be marginally helpful - but then buy West's book too. In either case, good luck & "73".
My husband and I have been going back and forth about buying a camcorder for quite a while now. We looked at several other models and kept deciding to put it off for varying reasons. The reason that we went with this one is mostly for the following two reasons: 1-the price was reasonable, and 2- it uses and SD card slot for recording instead of an internal memory that fills up fast and then you have to download the videos and delete them off of the device. This allows us to take several SD cards and have plenty of memory for our videos and also allows us to use separate SD cards for separate events. The camcorder is very light, so my rm doesn't get as tired while filming (i know it sounds ridiculous, but I've had big bulky ones before that make it exhausting to use them.). It comes with a USB cable to charge it and AV cables to hook it up to a television or whatever monitor you want to use it with. The owners manual was pretty obviously written by someone whom doesn't speak English as their first language, but in no way is is unintelligible. It's readable and understandable. It's also really small, so it's easily portable, and comes in a little velveteen bag to put it in. I just put it in the bag to protect the lens and then toss it in my purse. The buttons are not exactly what I would call intuitive, and the viewing screen on the module itself is really small so it's hard to see the pictures on it, but they turn out reasonably well for the price of the product. I use it more for the filming function, and it works well. The videos aren't documentary worthy but hey are good enough to record soccer games and birthday parties and whatnot. All in all I'm happy with the purchase. I feel like it was worth what I spent on it.
Not my favourite edition of this series, but very entertaining. I really wonder how much of the selection process is political because a few of these stories , I think, sucked...or were insulting to the stories of quality..I still enjoyed it fully. I am pretty low maintenance.
The product appears to be well made, BUT...the installation instructions are a joke. Without installation hints from the reviews I NEVER could have figured out how to install the racks‼️❗️
I have finished reading "Filing the FAFSA", cover-to-cover. Wow. Really, this is one of the best books I have read on demystifying a complex subject — any subject — ever. "Filing the FAFSA" is complete in its scope, exhaustive in its detail, and authoritative in its advice. It's also well-written and a pleasure to read — especially considering the difficult nature of college financial aid! I especially appreciated the extensive "Common Errors" section at the end, recapping the myriad of mistakes a filer could make.
